The origins of Modbury Vista can be traced back to the formation of the Para Vista Junior Soccer Club in 1969 and playing in the Elizabeth and Districts Soccer Association for the first time in 1970. This club changed its name to Modbury Vista in 1973 and played its home games at Kelly Road in Modbury North.
